Shark's tale....

....in the late 70's Bavarian Motor Works delivered a most beautiful baby shark and baptized it during the 1976 Geneva Motor show. At the base of the timeless design stood its spiritual father Paul Bracq. Its christian name was 6-series, but it has become infamous under its worldwide recognized second name: Sharknose. The pointy nose overlooking a slightly retracting front was a typical style characteristic for any BMW in those days, but on the E24 more pronounced than on any other model range.

The big coupĂ© was kept in production for more than a decade, yielding a remarkable offspring of nearly  100.000 copies of this wonderful piece of art.

Today, the Sharknose lives happily ever after.....
